Review

The author does a great job of world-building, and setting the novel in a fantastical place and time. 

I thought Avedissian showed great skill in prose, narrative and character development to make it all come to life in a plausible, convincing way. 

Don't expect shiny characters, these bleed darkness in the best way. I was on the edge of my seat multiple times throughout this.
